Tick-tock tick-tock!

Hello guys,

doesn’t seem like we were in manchester recently, does it? The weather is so beutiful and it’s also so warm outside, unfortunetely some of us are not able to take the advantage of it! Oh well, two months to go now! I can hear clock in my head all the time now and my tutors words: ‘each hour is like gold for you’. I’m trying to be organized now, planned everyday till my final date of dissertation. Got new calendar and now I am planning everyday of my spare time. Sounds terrible I know. This week only, Ive got to read 8 books and its very beginnin!
All march is going to be very stressful, as this month I have to finish all my advertising projects and then I have to study for 2 German exams. Afterwards, April is devoted to my dissertation only, as im supposed to hand it in on 23rd! TICK-TOCK TICK-TOCK! Oh god!

Just to let all students know, there are many open days going on at MMU, so if you want to find out more about our Uni go to: mmu.ac.uk, its absolutely worth coming and meeting new people, who can share their experience!

buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuusy!

Oh god!

So much going on atm, my family came over yesterday as surprise, which was lovely, however ive got to study loads now. SO SO SO SO STRESSED! So many things going on in my life, that’s why I cannot manage to blog regulary. Ive been only studying, sent all my essays and now try to do my best to work on my dissertation, apart from this there are still some exams to go. Moreover, Manchester is so so so so suny, which makes my studying even harder, as spring is next door and its so difficult to stay in. Anyway, I will be in touch with you guys when I get more stuff done! Love you all and speak soon!

Happy New Chinese Year!

Have you seen dragons in town yesterday? Amazing, the chinese new year was so cool this year, especially that it was on Valentines day. Loads of fireworks and people in town, queues in fron of every chinese restaurant in manchester. So funny. I spent Valentines working in my restaurant, but after that decided to go out for late meal with my friends from work and… you wont believe it!

Basically, we got to chinese restaurant at 1.30am and it was still full, Ive never seen such a busy place in my life. The capicity of the place is probably about 300people and there were no seats left. Weve been waithing for 30mins to get a seat and when finally it happened people were still waiting behind us until we finished our meal - 4am! Incredible!

Apart from little cerebration, I am back on track with my assigments now. Today the reading week started, so we do not attend Uni, however this week is meant to give us some time to study at home and contact our tutors regarding our progress within the particular unit. Im glad I can spend all this week on studying, as its someting I really want to do now.

What about you guys, did you celebrate either Valentines or Chinese New year? If so, I hope you had loads of fun.

Follow the schedule!

Hey People,

how is it going? Reading week is coming soon, so Im just wondering if youve got anything planned?

I had realy good weekend, went to cornerhouse for couple of drinks, met my friends and relaxed a bit about all this final year assessments. Today I went to see my personal tutor to discuss my dissertation schedule, as everything has to be planned now. Time goes so qucick and we all want best grades on our graduation. I feel a bit better after talking with my tutor, as she made me realize that planning is much better than stressing around and systematic work can bring incredible result. That’s why, my public promise now is to focus on my all assessments daily, no matter what and follow my monhly planner. I feel good today and got that feeling I am going to manage with everything.

The Valentines’ coming, have you got everything sorted or you still waiting for your second half? If so, look around and don’t worry too much, it always come when unexpected. If you want to help yourselves you can always go out on Valentines Day or try to have some fun on speed dating sessions held in many bars and clubs in town.

I think I figured out(after two years how to upload pictures here), so let me try to do it now, hope it will work.

how quick was it?

I always try to post my blog weekly. Sometimes I do forget, but most of the time its tuesday evening or tuesday night, only because it the evening when Im free, on my own, not tired. I know i posted my blog exactly one week ago, but I have a feeling like it would have happened last night. The closer to deadlines, the quicker time flies. My week wasnt that excited, it took me two days to collect all books needed for my essay and all Ive done over the week, was reading and going to lectures. Only sunday was good as I went out with my friends for our late staff party. We had such a great laugh, we all went to gay villagge, and you would be suprised how busy it was on sunday night! Unbeliveable! Now recovered and full of energy carry on my essays and dissertation. Hope you all well!

getting harder and harder! :(

Jarek is scared,

its so much to do this year, dissertation needs to be done, but unfortunately that’s not the only one assessment…

3rd year is harder than Ive thought it would be. Have so much to do, I signed for new unit, which I mentioned in last blog. Its so interesting, but at the same time its so so so difficult, as we are assessed on weekly basis, it is the same with german and the only one ‘deadline unit’ is Genre and Hollywood. ATM I’m working on it very hard as I have to submit my essay in 21 days and its 3000 words long. Afterwards, I have to focus in 100% on my dissertation which is due on 23rd of April. Im so worried, cos every week there are so many things I have to focus on, but I cannot concentrate. I hope it will change soon, because it makes me worried.

Apart from Uni my life has become very boring recently. The main reason for that is the weather. It it too cold and too wet to go anywhere, so I stay at home, read books and watch films. How exciting! :D Cannot wait for sumer or at least for nicer weather. I love studing and gathering with my uni mates in uni park, looking forward to it so so much!

I’m off to work now, don’t feel like working at all. Need to get rid of this laziness

Hey you!

Today I want to share my reflection with you. This morning I went to my second practise seminars called Advertising and Media. I’ve never done practise option on my course before, cos Ive been always thinking that Im not talented enough and that studying things like photography, without reading books, writing essays is not real education. Nothing more WRONG!

Since I started those classes, I feel like developing myself and my ideas all the time, apparently my first project campaing was successful, as the teacher liked it and other students too. This practical classes help me to see how everything works in real indusry, apart from the class room. We have so many activities there, meeting so many people, making so many projects. I love it so much. And it doen’t matter that i cannot draw or anything, the ideas are the base for it. Feel like flying today, Ive just finish projecting my post-it nites campaign, hope they will like it!

Maybe this last term won’t be as bad as I thought!

white january!

can’t believe it, i have left my laptop here for 2h and the system logged me out. now my beautifil description of english white january, snow everywhere is gone! booo.  lol.

Oh well, just to let you know its freezing, its been snowing like crazy. Planes stopped flying, trains and nuses running and basically manchester looked like one big empty city with noone on the streets.
Now its coming back to normal very slowly tho. Same is Uni, its first week of winter term - FINAL TERM. Had my first lecture yesterday, another two to go now. After this week will be sorted and will let you know how the final term look like.

Hope you all dealing with snow very well and are able to make it to uni!

its been while a while

Hey boys and girls,

have you had nice xmas and did you dance loads on the nye? Im back in Manchester now, been home for 10 days and loved it so much as usual.

As I briefly mentioned in last blog my travel home was the NIGHTMARE. I boarded in Manchester at 7am, was ready to take off when the all airport was closed, because of snow. Because of that, we have been stuck on the plane for 3h, it meant that i list my connection flight in Frankfurt. Anyway, got to Frankfurt about 1pm, tried to catch flight at 2pm, but it was full. Was rebooked to the flight at 5pm and the nightmare started then. I thought that the worst part of the day was 5h to wait there, but not, the snow fall just started. At 4pm my flight to Warsaw was cancelled like thousands of others. Was waiting for another flight till 1am on the airport and was so lucky I got on it as I was on standby ticket, another 29 people whove been waithing with me all day had to wait for another flight at 11am in the mornig, Moreover, when I landed in Frankfurt, my housemate called me and asked if Im coming back from the airport home, as apparently all manchester airport was shut down for all day, I was so lucky I got out of this town.

Oh well, then I got home, to the freezin -20*C Warsaw and I enjoyed my Xmas so much. Met all my friends, spent lots of time with my family and had such a good laugh. Felt like crying on my way back, cos now its time to GET IT DONE! only 5 months of uni left, dissertation is waiting for me, all exams, loads of hard work. Hope to manage, getting stressed now. We will see how it goes.

While I have a chance, I would love to wish you all a very happy, glamourus New Year, full of love, high marks and good fun!

Merry Xmas from Warsaw! Wish you all best things in the world, smile on your faces and warmness in your hearts and dreams come true in New Year.

Im glad I finally got home, it took me 25h to fly to Poland from Manchester, delays made my flight nightmare! Snow was so heavy, but after 15h in Frankfurt I took off to Warsaw!

oh well, at least I made it and didnt stuck somewhere abroad for xmas, happy now with my family getting ready to celebrate!

5 days to go! :D

Hey everyone,

done with uni, ready for Xmas? Im so excited about Xmas, next week this time will be sitting with my parent and friends and will be having Xmas meal. Awwww, how great is that?! :D

However, I still have two exams to go and they are both on thursday. Im a bit stressed, but hope to do well as its german. Morover, Im done now with my Xmas shopping, which was nightmare this year as town is so busy, my luaggage is probably overweight about 10kg and Im still hoping to go away with it. Hehe, we will see!

I love England for this magic time before Xmas, when all people go to Xmas parties and have great laugh together. Love socializing, having mulled wine on the german market. Its so amazing how different people are before Xmas, it makes you believe in good things…

how is it going? Im almost done with all my assessments this year. Only two exams to go and holidays starts for me! yay!

have you been tto german market yet? brilliant as usual, i cant wait to go again. Started my xmas shopping yesterday, so many great offers on so if you havent started yet, youd better hurry up.

Im well excited, cannot wait to see my family and spend traditional polish xmas in warsaw. also i cant wait to see my friends and have lots of laugh with them.

Xmas time is always exciting for me, so many nice things are going on, its time of giving and reciving and all people are so nice to each other. awwwwwwwwwww!

almost there, almost there!

Oh god! How cold it is outside? Im getting confused if Im in Warsaw yet or maybe its Santa coming soon to Manchester?! :D

Dont expect me to put this blog in any order today, please. However it’s all almost done. Will finish hopefully tomorrow, than two exams and HOLIDAYS! Sorry, for being so boring, but my deadline is on Wednesday and I am getting stressed now.

I wish I could tell you about something interesting from my life, but NOTHING has happened recently, apart from cold walks to library and lectures, apart from working during the weekend and apart from spending all day on typing my last 2009 essay.

Im so sorry and promise that my next blog will be more exciting and Xmassy than this, as it will be holidays blog! Oh Santa, finish this essay for me please! lol

well stressed!

Hello,

hows it going? Im well stressed with my assessments this weeks, decided doing nothing but studying because as we all know, the final year is the most important. Need to stay at home with my star system essay no 2 and German revision, after couple of weeks will be ready for Xmas shopping and full celebration. Apart from rain, which is great when you have to study, town is all packed and all you can see are people walking with bags full of gifts, oh how nice. German, Xmas Market is open now, look beautiful as usual, you can feel the smell of xmas in the air, unless you go to uni and you can smell the stress in the air as the term no 1 is almost over! hehe.

I’ve got 4 days to type 3000 words worth high 2.1 grade, which is my aim now, so I better get back to work, but I really want to join them people in twon… Oh well! 2 weeks!

6 weeks to Xmas again!

Hey everyone,

can you see xmas lights shining in all town, xmas market getting ready to serve us all delicious xmas goods. It also means that the end of first term is arriving! I can feel it on my skin, after one week of resting, i need to revise now to my german exams and at the same time have to work on two essays, but its all worth it as the more you do the closer xmas is!

I went to the Pam Ann show in the Lowry yesterday and it was absolutely funny and brill. Cant remember myself laughing that much in my life, the way she talked about cabing crew was so comic and her jokes, just put me on my knees. Absolutely recommend! :D Also recommend everyone to get free 3D glasses from Saintsburys and watch 3D expierience on Channel4. Its so cool, thats what Im doiing now. They are going to play 3D movies and shows all week long, so hurry up and get your pair! :D

Ok, off now, as need to do some more work b4 bed! Willl speak to you soon. Oh god, cand wait to start watching Love Actually and start doing xmas shopping! So excited.com! hehe.
