Work!
Hey Everybody!
I just have a few minutes to write this as I have to get ready and rush off to university for work. Actually, there’s this Space Utilisation Survery being conducted and I am a part of it. I will be monitoring and making a list of the number of occupants in each room in the building throughout the day according to the schedule provided to us.
Yesterday, I went volunteering and we had a staff meeting - met up with the rest of the people - was nice. I’m going to start writing job descriptions for each role now and after that design some policies and procedures for the organisation.
Classes are going good. Just waiting for Easter Holidays now
.
I will write back again soon.
Hope you’re all well.
Cheers.

Well Stressed!
I’m repeating my title but guess I don’t have a choice. I really am extremely stressed.
I have an assignment due in tomorrow which I am still working on. An induction session to attend at 11:30am which I don’t have the energy to tell you about right now. And right after that I’ve got my french class for which I still have to do my homework.
I had not been well toward the end of the red week so couldn’t get much done. And Monday and Tuesday, busy with lectures and tutorials and weekly assignments. Well, I guess I’m off now - have to wake up early morning. I will write again soon in a couple of days to report back more.
Stay well!

Discoveries
Hi Everybody,
This week has been quite hectic but worth it. Attended the Education for Sustainable Living forum on Thursday which was quite informative and productive. Also discussed the agenda for the Go Green Week coming up on February 22nd - looking forward to that.
There was an Iranian Culture Week going on last week which I attended on Friday at the Manchester Islamic Institute - so glad to have discovered that place as I also got to know about an important religious event being held at the same place the next day which I got to be a part of then. Sunday was Chinese New Year and as Manchester has one of the largest Chinese communities in the UK, it celebrates Chinese New Year with a colourful parade around Albert Square which goes through the famous China Town. There was the traditional dragon dance and plenty of stalls. Went out with a couple of friends to see that - was fun.
I registered myself onto the the Volunteering opportunities with MMU and attended the induction session yesterday. There are some nice opportunities, one of which I have already booked myself for - will tell you about it soon - it’s within MMU which is a one day event. I’ve also applied to another organisation.
Other than that, the regular: reading, cooking, cleaning, groceries, laundry. Yes, I did some sketching too and a bit of guitar practice.
Now I’m off to do my french homework - class tomorrow as I told you last week, french is still on during Reading Week.
So see you guys later.
All the best and prayers.

Runnnnn!!! :)
Hey everyone!
I’m just getting ready to go out for a run.
Woke up early for prayers, had some cereal and going out for a run in a bit. After I get back, I need to fix my room, have some more breakfast
and get ready for Uni. Have two lectures and a tutorial today. One of the lectures being my favorite: Business & Sustainability. I really like my course tutor as well - I enjoy her teaching style as she makes it so interesting and easy to understand everything.
And yes, the exciting bit of my day is that I’m getting back to some of my art stuff today. Woohoo!! Will tell you guys once I get at it. When I go out now, I’m going to buy myself the required stuff I need for it. One of these days in the week, I also plan to stop over at the Student’s Union to see what’s going on - might join some interesting club if I feel I have the time to manage everything at the same time as I’m going to be extremely busy very soon with all the coursework, assignments, exams coming up. My french exam is in March!!!!!!
Have a presentation to deliver and a written paper!!
Oh guess what, it’s Red Week next week. No lectures!!
- Guess we’ll still have french though.
And by the way, I am loving my new book!!
Write to you again soon!! Take care everyone and have a great day ahead!!
xx

The Usual
Hiya!
I got back to Manchester on Sunday. My trip to London was quite good once again. Sorted out my stuff and had loads of fun with my friends - watched movies and played games at home, went bowling, out for meals and walks around Central London - was quite exciting. Oh yeah, cooked for my friends - fried chicken. Also, met up with a cousin of mine whom I couldn’t meet up with the last time - was good to catch up with her
. Will probably need to go back again in March to apply for the U.S Visa so I can visit my family over the summers. I’m back to my routine now. Lectures, tutorials, weekly assignments. Excited to go into my French class tomorrow.
.
It’s quite late here now. I brought some books home from the library yesterday for my Law & Employment Relationship assignment. And guess what!! One of my friends sent me the biography of one of my favorite authors - Paulo Coelho. Started reading that today - was so excited to recieve the mail.
I also received the Shell Sustainability Report in the mail today that I had requested from Shell for one of my courses.
Looking forward to tomorrow morning - got loads to do.
One of Paulo Coelho’s quotes:
“Whenever we need to make a very important decision it is best to trust our instincts, because reason usually tries to remove us from our dream, saying that the time is not yet right. Reason is afraid of defeat, but intuition enjoys life and its challenges.”

Busy!
Hiya!
Been really busy in London. Had to sort out some stuff. Been staying over at my friend’s place - came over to my Uncle/ Aunt’s today. I watched Avatar 3D with my friends which was absolutely fantastic!! Went to Slough over the weekend to meet up with some other friends - was fun - watched movies at home - learnt some new recipes, played games and went to the park!
Played games on Wii with my aunt today
and went out for dinner to Mirch Masala - it was delish especially the fried fish.
I’m also doing some research on my next assignment which is for Employment Relations - I have two topics to choose from - I think I’ll go with Employee Engagement instead of Trade Unions.
It’s sort of late now and I’m sleepy so I will write back later.
Hope you’re all doing great!!
Cheers

Life!
Sitting alone in my room, gazing out the window, watching the cars race by from morning to evening, people always on the go in the hustle and bustle of the city, sometimes makes me wonder what life really is all about. We all have our puposes in life - wordly and divine - what is our divine purpose? Have you ever wondered? I believe we all, at some point of our lives ponder over why we’re actually here. What is this world? Why was it created? Why were we sent on earth? Well, this was just some food for thought.
I am up and studying - it’s pretty late at night. Miss my family :(. There’s one good news though - I’m going to London again this Thursday - need to get some work done. Hence, excited to see my friends and relatives again. The weather was quite pleasant these past few days - enjoyed some sunshine as well
Actually, I have some more good news - I did pretty well on my assignments in Term 1
. Excited about Term 2 now
.
A quote:
“You are the people who are shaping a better world. One of the secrets of inner peace is the practice of compassion.” (Dalai Lama)

The Pressures Building Up!!
This has been an extremely busy and stressful week. With the days approaching fast toward the end of the first term, the pressures building up. I have an assignment due in today and so woke up at 7:30am; I will be so relieved once I submit it. It was quite an assignment a lot of research work involved. But this is just the beginning, many more to go exams as well as assignments!
To take a break, this past Friday I went out with my friends to watch the movie 2012 was quite entertaining and thrilling with its unrelenting pace and breathtaking special effects. Although I disagree with the way it was concluded.
Im so in love with my guitar has made my room so full of life my escape, my companion
. Really enjoy every moment with it.
I think I should get back to my assignment now to give it some final touches. Will write more soon.
